All Kleberg Bank debit card customers received their Visa tap to pay debit card in the mail in September 2023 at the address on file with the Bank.  It's important to always keep your address, phone number, and email address up-to-date so you receive important information and updates in the most timely and convenient way.  Below are instructions for updating your address.

What happens with automatic/recurring bill payments tied to an inactive Kleberg Bank Mastercard debit card?

You will need to update your debit card account number, expiration date, security code, and PIN (if applicable) with merchants who were regularly billing your Mastercard debit card with your newly activated Visa debit card.  This may include the following:

  • Merchants who regularly bill your debit card account through automatic/recurring payments.
  • Companies who have your card on file, such as online merchants, wireless services, streaming services, cable and internet providers, insurance companies, highway toll accounts, utilities, gyms, alarm services, and more.

Will charges I make using the new debit card still come out of my checking account?

Your checking account number has not changed.  Your new Kleberg Bank Visa tap to pay debit has a new card number, expiration date, and security code.  Any purchases you make with your new debit card will come out of your existing checking account.

I have account alerts set-up in online banking/the mobile app.  Do I need to reset those account alerts?

Account alerts set-up in online banking/the mobile app will be unaffected by this change because they are associated with your bank account number, not your debit card number.
